Dynamic Powertrain & All-Weather Capability

Under the hood of the 2017 BMW X5 xDrive35i lies a refined 3L I-6 direct injection engine featuring Double VANOS variable valve control and an intercooled turbocharger. Delivering a robust 300HP, this powertrain is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission with STEPTRONIC sequential shift control for smooth gear changes and immediate acceleration. The intelligent xDrive full-time all-wheel drive system continuously monitors traction requirements, routing power to the wheels with the most grip to ensure composed stability across rainy tarmac or loose surface roads. Drivers can fine-tune their driving dynamics using the selectable ECO PRO mode to optimize efficiency, helping this luxury sport utility achieve an EPA-estimated 18 MPG city and 24 MPG highway. Complementing the powertrain is an independent double wishbone front suspension and multi-link rear suspension setup, backed by gas-pressurized shock absorbers and Servotronic speed-sensitive power steering for a grounded, precise feel through every corner.

Advanced Technology & Connected Cabin Features

The interior of the X5 is anchored by an expansive 10.2-inch primary display screen that houses the integrated navigation system with voice activation, ensuring seamless guidance with real-time traffic updates. High-resolution analog instrumentation provides classic, easy-to-read gauges, while the leather-wrapped sport steering wheel puts audio, cruise control, and climate settings directly at your fingertips. Staying connected is simple thanks to hands-free Bluetooth® wireless device connectivity, audio streaming, an auxiliary input jack, and a USB port. A premium 10-speaker sound system powered by a 205W amplifier delivers crisp audio quality for your favorite media. Furthermore, the convenience of push-button ignition, Comfort Access proximity keyless entry, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror makes every departure quick and stress-free.
